Friday's feature: beauty oils

This Friday I am talking all things oils. That is, face, body and hair oils.

Having dry skin, I have always been a lover of oils. I understand they can seem a bit daunting for some (the word greasy springs to mind) however I have it on good authority that the right kind of oils are good even for those with more combination/oily skin. Today I want to share my favourites and how I use them. NB. I'm not an expert in any way these are just my personal thoughts!

Face
For my face I love the Boots Botanics Organic Facial Oil. It feels lovely on the skin and is such a great price considering the ingredients (you can normally pick it up on special offer as well!). I've yet to try a super expensive oil for my face but this one definitely ticks all the boxes for me. Another option is to use an oil as a pre-cleanse (to remove makeup etc). The one I have tried is the Super Facialist Rose Hydrate Miracle Makeover Oil (now say that quickly...), it feels very luxurious and makes my skin lovely and soft. I'm interested to try the Vitamin C cleansing oil in this range as you get a lot more product with that!

Body
The oil I use most in the body category is the Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil. The best thing about this is the ease of use. I apply this straight out the shower or bath and the spray means it is super quick and sinks in really fast. Smells great as well! A more natural alternative to this is the BalmBalm Relaxing Body oil (not pictured). This one is a little more nourishing and great for a weekend pamper session.

Bath
In the bath I like to use the Burts Bees Lemon and Vitamin E oil. It smells so refreshing and citrussy! You can also use this as a body oil before you get in the bath or shower to make your skin super soft.

Hair
I have two products to talk about for hair. One is more of a styling product and the other is more of a treatment. Firstly the Tresemme Liquid Gold Restorative Complex. I use this to smooth down frizz and add shine to my hair. Having thick hair I feel like it can take a fair amount of oil products without looking greasy, however this one is nice and light and I feel like it would be suited to finer hair as well. To condition my hair I like to use bog-standard coconut oil (I picked mine up in Superdrug). I either use this in the same way as the Tresemme or alternatively, as a mask before washing your hair to really deep condition it.

Multi-purpose
I suppose in a way most of the above could be multi-purpose (especially the coconut oil) however the one that is specifically designed to be is the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi Use Dry Oil (another long name!). I have a couple of samples of this but would definitely consider buying the full size. As a dry oil it doesn't feel greasy on the skin and is great to use as a facial oil for the daytime.

So, that's my round-up of the my favourite oils. Do you have any recommendations? What are your favourites?
