Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

I know there has been a lot of "hype" around these at the moment in the blogging world and you have probably already heard a million things about them, but I picked up one in superdrug the other day and thought I would talk about my thoughts. They are basically a chunky twist up pencil design that applies like a balm but leaves a long lasting stain on the lips.I picked up the colour Romantic, I was in a bit of a rush and there weren't any testers so I chose this colour on a bit of a whim. In the tube it looks like a quite a dark reddish colour however it translates to quite an orangey-red on the lips - fortunately I do really like the colour but definitely try some testers out before choosing because it doesn't really match the colour on the tube!

It goes on quite glossy and this then wears off but the stain remains, they are quite moisturising to put on which is nice in a lip stain. After a while they do become a bit drying (but I do have very dry lips!) but you can top up with lip balm and the stain still stays. The colour lasts really well and wears off quite evenly which is nice.

Overall I think these are a great addition to anybody's make-up collection as they are easy to apply and you don't need to think about them all day like you might do with some lipsticks! I would definitely pick some up while they are still at this lower price.

Sleek Eau La La Liner in Cocoa

(excuse the mess in the background of these photos!)

I've had this liner for a while now and been meaning to blog about it but just never got around to it.
I was on the look out for a brown eyeliner that I could use as a more subtle alternative to black, so when I saw the new Eau La La Liners that Sleek had released they looked like a great option. They are waterproof which is important to me as I get quite watery eyes and I want it to last all day. They are very soft and easy to apply as well as being very pigmented. The only problem I have is, is that because they are quite soft they seem to run down quite quickly and are a bit fiddly to sharpen.

I think sleek have put their prices up recently because I am sure this was £4 when I bought it but it is now £4.99 on the website. It is is nice product and if you are in the market for a brown eyeliner then I would definitely give this a try.

Update-type-thing!

Hi Guys,

I've been really bad on the blogging front recently and just wanted to do a little post to explain why and just give a little update about me (if you care! haha). Basically, I finished Uni about a month ago now and I had my graduation on Friday :) So I've been quite busy doing things with my parents and stuff like that. Also I'm currently looking for jobs because my boyfriend and I are moving into our first house (well, a flat) together at the end of August so I need some monies! These things combined have put blogging on hold a bit. I've also been feeling a bit unsure about what to write about and I didn't just want to write about things that aren't particularly important to me or that I don't enjoy writing, I've had a bit of a creative block!

Anyway if you have read this then thank you, and hopefully I will be back on track soon with some new things to talk about and be feeling a bit more inspired.

Pretty Interiors

Today I thought I would just share some pretty houses that I've been liking :)
I'm moving into a flat with my boyfriend in August and, although we wont have the money or space to make it like any of these, it's nice to dream ey?

Ok so the last one isn't a house - but it's so cool!

I'm actually pretty excited about decorating and looking forward to finding cheaper ways of doing things. We will be limited as to what we can put on walls etc but I'm still hoping we can make it cosy.

Balm Balm Hibiscus Face Mask Review

I got a sample tub of this face mask with a few other samples for a Christmas present a while ago but never got around to using it. I think it's a really interesting face mask, as in the tub it is in powder form, you then add some water to this and mix it into a paste. I was surprised to find the white powder turned into a pinky-purply colour when water was added (as you can see in the last picture)! It is 100% organic and contains brown rice flour, ground hibiscus and rose geranium essential oil. I'd never tried a face mask like this before so was excited to give it a try.
After you have applied the "paste" to your skin, you leave it on for about 10 minutes (or until dry), you are then instructed to dampen your skin and massage the mask slightly for extra exfoliation before washing off.
I normally go for more moisturising face masks as I have quite dry skin, so I was a bit sceptical about how this would work for me. One thing I will say is that it was quite difficult to remove, especially around the nose area, however, it did leave my skin feeling very smooth and not as tight as I thought it would. Although I would normally go for something for nourishing I was pleasantly surprised with the effect this mask had on my skin. If you do have more oily/combination skin I would definitely give this a try as I think you could feel the benefits more than I could. It is nice to really feel like you are deep cleansing your skin sometimes and this mask was brilliant in that respect.

You can get the full size product (40g) for £8,15 here. The trail size contained 5g so you would get roughly 8 uses out of the full size.
