I've been eyeing up getting one of these palettes for a while now, since seeing quite a few other bloggers mention them. The idea is you buy a variety of 4 different eyeshadows, blushers or bronzers and fill up one of these palettes with your selections. Individually the blushes and bronzers cost £4 and the palette on its own costs £5, however superdrug are doing a deal where you get a palette and 4 items and the palette for £10, a saving of £11! I literally couldn't resist, such a bargain considering you have complete freedom in terms of what you put in it. The packaging is also really great, it comes in a choice of red or black and has a huuuge mirror on the inside which is super useful.
I chose to go for 2 blushes and 2 bronzers, one shimmery and one matte. As you can see above the shades are all really pigmented, the matte ones are a little powdery but nothing I can't live with. The colours I went for were:
- London - A baked shimmery pink blush. I was a little apprehensive about how this would look on me as I don't own any other colours like this however it translates to a really pretty colour on the cheeks.
- Butterscotch - A matte dusky pink shade. This blush is super pigmented so you need to use a light hand but at least that means it should last a long time. Again this is a really nice colour and one that I have been wearing a lot recently.
- Paris - A matte bronzer. I have been using this as a contour and again a light hand is needed but I think it works really well.
- Barcelona - A light shimmery bronzer. Although this is marketed as a bronzer I thought this would be a nice highlight colour for the tops of the cheeks and brow bone. I have tried this a few times and really like it so far.
Overall I'm really impressed with the quality of this palette and will definitely get a lot of use out of it.
Has anyone else got one of these palettes? Do you like it?
